Everybody Needs A Hobby of the Day: When Jacqui Lavis entered Curly’s tattoo parlor in 2003 looking to commemorate her post-divorce freedom with some symbolic ink, little did she knew she would end up falling for Curly and spending the next 8 years covering nearly every inch of her body with tats.
“Some are very nice while I get a lot of funny looks from other people,” Lavis says. “Some even tell me I look disgusting. But I am proud of my body, I see it as a work of art.”
Among her more cherished tattoos Lavis counts a swarm of dragonflies on her back, and a spiderweb full of tarantulas sprawled across her stomach.
